Previous visa: If you have previously held any Non-Immigrant ED visa or Business visa and got an extension of stay, you must obtain a visa cancellation stamp in your passport. Without this, the immigration officer will be unable to extend your visa.

Your address and telephone number: Please ensure your address and telephone number are updated with us whenever they change, and provide a new TM 30.

Visa Extension (TM 7)

You can pick up the documents at school starting 7 days before your visa expiry date. The ideal time to apply is 3 to 7 days before your current visa expires.

If you need to renew your visa more than 7 days in advance, please contact us directly.

You will receive an email 2–3 weeks before your visa expires. If not, contact us directly. After visa extension, the immigration officer will inspect students at school to verify their status.

Notify Staying Longer than 90 Days (TM 47)

Every foreigner who stays longer than 90 days must notify their address every 90 days.

The 1st notification is processed at the N counter when you extend a visa. You will receive a receipt for the next time.

The 2nd time onwards: apply starting 15 days before or within 7 days after the due date at A counter.

⚠️ If you are in Nonthaburi, Samutprakan, or Pathumthani, report your residence to the local immigration office.

⚠️ Failing to notify will result in a 2,000 Baht fine.

TM 30

House owners (landlords) are required to notify Immigration when a foreigner stays in their property. Therefore, you need to request a TM.30 receipt from your landlord.

Important Notes:

  • Your address must be within the Bangkok Metropolitan Region (Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani).
  • Update TM.30 if your check-out date expires or you change address.
  • Check-in Date must be updated whenever you receive a new arrival stamp.
  • Check-out Date: at least 30 days remaining when applying for visa/extension/90-day notification. Recommended 6 months–1 year.

⚠️ A delay in reporting TM.30 may result in a fine of 800–1,000 baht.

Re-entry Permit

Before leaving Thailand, apply for a re-entry permit to maintain your ED visa.

Documents required:

  • Passport
  • Application Form (TM.8) with photo (4x6 cm, not older than 6 months)
  • Copies of passport pages (bio data, expiry, info edit, last entry, extension stamp, departure card if any)

Application fee:

  • 1,000–1,500 baht (one time)
  • 3,800 baht (multiple uses)

Where to apply: Immigration Division 1 or Passport Control at the airport on departure.

Recommendations and Precautions:

🚫 Immigration officers may deny entry if suspicious use of student visa is found.

✅ Attend classes as scheduled; ability to communicate in Thai is recommended.

📄 Request a leave letter from the school if necessary.

⚠️ The school is not responsible if immigration denies re-entry.
